"Finding time for what is important is a huge issue for principals," says Nina Newlin, principal at Rock Hall (Maryland) Middle School. "It has never been more crucial than it is now for principals to be true instructional leaders in their buildings, and at the same time there have never been more paperwork requirements piled on."

Can you relate to this? Does it feel like the urgent is taking up the time you would like to invest in the important? Have you wondered how you can solve the big picture issues creatively, quickly and easily in a manner that expands your influence?

Being a leader in the school environment is so isolating. You feel as though there is no one you can talk to that really gets what you do. One respondent to the Future Canadian Principalship study summed it beautifully with this statement,  “I’d like increased support from colleagues so that I don’t have to figure everything out myself.”

If so the Principal's Roundtable was designed for you, to help you develop that great school culture and influence your school's experience in new and creative ways.

What is a Peer Advisory Group?

The group consists of 5 – 8 peers and a run by Bill Wright, The Educator’s Coach and trained facilitator, who meet on a regular basis. The goal of this particular group is to do on time problem solving, to set goals, create action plans, share ideas and solutions in a supportive, empowering environment. Unlike so many so called masterminds this is not a book club. We deal with your challenges, not a theory in some book.

How does it work?

We will meet monthly, virtually for 1 ½ hours, in a facilitated and structured environment to ensure you get the best value for your time. A minimum commitment is six months.

How do I fit in?

You will be part of an exclusive, connected and supportive community of leading principals committed to excellence in their professional lives.

What is expected of me?

We learn best by sharing. You show up and participate in meetings by providing analysis, feedback and suggestions to other members of the group.

What can I expect from the group experience?

This group will provide you with an opportunity to develop additional skills to create a school culture that is healthy, happy, productive and balanced while improving your students’ learning environment. Your influence will be felt throughout while providing greater meaning and purpose to your work.

Why Bill?

The success of a group often comes down to the skill of the facilitator. Bill Wright has the training and experience to help you succeed. Bill is a trained coach, speaker, trainer and facilitator. He enjoyed a thirty-year career as an educator before starting My Coach Bill to help educators with stress reduction and preventing burnout.

The Power of the Peer Advisory Group

Wouldn’t it be great if you could tap into the collective experience and brain power of other principals? Enjoy that sense of achievement of your professional goals and the feeling of harmony of balancing your life in the process? Can it get any better than that?

By combining so many smart people in an elite group, you save significant time accomplishing your goals as you share best practices within this community.

Jim Rohn is often attributed with the statement “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” Wouldn’t you prefer that the group was formed intentionally and not by chance? Within a group, members have a wide range of experience. This means you can learn from, and contribute to, the group.

Many people find having to be accountable to a caring and supportive group for their actions alone is worth more than they pay for the mastermind.

This group is for you if you:

  • Want to reach new goals quickly, easily and efficiently
  • Would love more ideas on how to engage teachers, parents and students. Especially as it pertains to diverse and special needs students.
  • Are tired of feeling isolated and want a strong community of like-minded leaders who understand and support you.
  • Want to attain a balance between personal needs and professional responsibilities leading to personal fulfillment.
  • Explore new possibilities while working with a group that challenges and supports your growth in a safe environment.
  • You are just one idea away from ... (fill in your goal)

You are just one idea away ...

You are just one idea away …

from what you want and need in your professional life.

For years I took workshops, course, seminars, training, coaching, etc. And I always felt I was just missing one thing for achieving my goal. They took a lot of time but none provided me with I needed for the long-term.

Then I discovered peer advisory groups or mastermind groups. With a professionally trained facilitator and a group of smart, like-minded, peers I could often find a solution to a challenge or move forward toward achieving a goal- in minutes! In minutes, not weeks, months or even years. In minutes!

You are just one idea away from …
